Yay Thursday!
I am so looking forward to tomorrow. My favorite day of the week has always been Thursday, first because I had gymnastics on Thursdays when I was in elementary school, and then because I had gymnastics and ER was on, and now, well, because it’s habit.
And because Grey’s Anatomy is on.
And because it’s Thirsty Thursday.
But this Thursday is going to be stellar, because not only are all of these things true, but it’s also the beginning of my weekend and Boyfriend, my friend AMD and I are going to see my favorite local band GoGoGadget.
I’d tell you more about “The Gadget” as Boyfriend calls them, but alas, I’m not an expert and they have a myspace that can do that better than me. I’ll just tell you that they’re amazing. They all switch instruments and play a bunch of currently popular songs (Crazy Bitch and Paralyzer get a lot of requests, as does Livin on a Prayer [when Boyfriend and I were on a cruise in August they played Livin on a Prayer and the party died, when Gadget does it you’d think it was 1965 and the Beatles were on stage]). So, yea, they’re rockin and I’m excited to see them again.
In other news, Boyfriend and I saw ‘Bee Movie’ last night, it was good, but I completely lost it towards the end when Vanessa says, “I guess I can’t fly a plane.” Which was not really that funny and but I laughed about it for a good 3 minutes afterwards. It was cute, and if you’re a Seinfeld fan it’s worth it.
I visited my hairdresser today and as always, told her I wasn’t sure what I wanted and ended up happy with the results. I am really bad at making decisions, even small ones like, “Should I color my hair red or black?” and rely on the opinions of my friends and family to help me make up my mind. Unfortunately my friends were adamant that I dye my hair blue, so really, they were no help in this situation. However, the decision was made and I am now totally working a new cut and nice black color. I’m still feeling out the bangs. They always seem like a good idea when I’m sitting in the chair, but four hours later I’m pulling out the headband and having flashbacks of fourth grade.
Oh well, I guess being constantly annoyed is the price you pay for beauty. Because, damn. I look good.
Not-so-good however, is the fact that my hairdresser is now a “Designer.” This means, at least as far as I can tell, that she gets to wear a plastic badge and charge higher prices. I was worried for a little bit, because I like my hairdresser and I really didn’t want to have to cheat on her between appointments, but all is well, she gave me a student discount card. Score.
I know I owe you 3ish full-length article posts regarding recent life developments, they’re coming, I swear.
Also FYI I’m adding a page for a Glossary. I thought it’d be a good way to keep the people I talk about straight, as well as adding the definitions of the made-up words I use.
